The Industrial Information Network (IIN) is a first of its kind service, aiming to use information technology to connect and facilitate businesses in Pakistan. Industrial Information Network (IIN) is the first Pakistani B2B and information portal designed specifically to cater to the online trading and information needs of businesses from various industrial sectors in Pakistan. The project is initially focused on Textile and Leather sectors with more sectors to be added later.

It is a joint venture of the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecom (MoITT) and the Ministry of Industries & Production (MOIP), with SMEDA as the executing agency and UNIDO as the technical consultant. The goal of the IIN is to promote the use of business-to-business e-commerce in the country and utilize technology to link businesses with local and international buyers, suppliers, trade facilitation bodies and the Government.

Access to the other businesses will enable Pakistani businesses in finding and exploring international markets, new technologies and information for work flow enhancements. Connecting businesses with trade facilitation bodies and Government opens new doors to knowledge, resource and information sharing as well as better understanding of industrial needs and ultimately formulating effective policies.

In addition, providing services of international outreach and updated business information is also one of the major objectives of IIN. IIN is the first Pakistani business portal to provide a unique trade floor where business from Pakistan as well as around the world can post their inquiries as well as offers to find the new buyers and suppliers. In addition, IIN offers Pakistani businesses a platform to maintain eShops where they can develop and maintain product catalogues to be presented to the interested buyers instantly. In addition to this trade facilitation area, IIN offers comprehensive sector specific information as well as information on financing, government rules & regulations, business startup procedures, business management tips etc.

In short, IIN is designed to become an online one-stop-shop for industry and SMEs for all their Information and eCommerce needs.

IIN has started its initiative to achieve its goal and all efforts are being taken to facilitate our users in the best possible way.
